David Walker

Biography

David Walker serves as a Clinical Coordinator with WoundPedia, supporting interprofessional wound care education, program development, research, and knowledge mobilization initiatives across Ontario and Canada. He works closely with healthcare providers, researchers, and community partners through initiatives including ECHO Ontario Skin & Wound and Indigenous ECHO Canada, helping expand access to evidence-informed wound care education for clinicians working in rural, remote, and underserved communities.
David has a multiprofessional background in public health, business, and kinesiology, with experience spanning program evaluation, needs assessments, curriculum development, healthcare systems improvement, and clinical coordination. His work focuses on translating evidence into practical frontline solutions through innovative educational programming, healthcare system change, in-person regional skills sessions, and interprofessional collaboration.
In addition to his operational and educational roles, David contributes to academic publications aimed at strengthening clinician competency and improving patient outcomes. His interests include diabetic foot screening, wound prevention strategies, dermatology, health equity, Indigenous health partnerships, cost efficient care interventions, and scalable models of continuing professional education.
